Built in 1927, Hotel Saskatchewan is the oldest hotel in Regina. Queen Elizabeth II, The Rolling Stones and VitoriVita have stayed here. Kidding aside, I am in awe of the elegance that is Hotel Saskatchewan and I am very proud to witness its announcement as a new Autograph Collection Hotel.
So what does it mean to be an Autograph Collection Hotel? It means that a hotel has bold originality, rich character, and uncommon details. Hotel Saskatchewan's early 20th century architecture boasts of its unparalleled sophistication but stays true to its never-changing values and world-class service.
Hotel Sask's General Manager, Colin Perry, told CBC News that the intent of it's $12 million facelift was not to change the character of the hotel but enhance it.
On a fun note, I had such an amazing time at the Hotel Sask Annual Reception last night as we were serenaded by the lovely Kaitlyn Semple while enjoying our cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Hearing her beautiful voice was like time-traveling to the 1920's when everything was grand yet refined.
For the visual ecstacy, Abiding Lines Dance Company entertained the guests with their graceful dance moves. They made the attendees' jaw drop in awe and you can count me in.
