The old watch I bought from Farmer's Market Mall in Cubao for 50 PHP which is like 1.5 CAD has been falling off from my wrist due to wear and tear. I am so proud that it has seen good Canadian days. So sad though that it has to go even though I had all the urges to keep wearing it. Look at the poor thing. So thin and rugged.
So after being so disappointed at Winners and pigging out at Five Guys (See previous post.) we decided that the best place in town for shopping is Cornwall Centre. Fact is there are not too many options here in Regina.
I went straight to Spareparts where I bought a Casio G-Shock watch in rose gold to attract attention. Hahahahaha! Not actually, but if you insist YES! Because everything in rose gold is worth all the bucks you worked hard for. This was for the low low price of 180 CAD.
But prior to buying the G-Shock watch at Spareparts. I was actually drooling over this Saskatchewan-made watch from Farmfresh. They call this the Merchant and it costs 300 CAD. I wanted it so much but I thought that I might not be able to wear it daily. My practical self was actually winning this time. Its too pretty to go near poops and bums. My nurse friends agree with me for sure.
I also got a nice printed dress shirt from RW&CO. for 20 CAD which was originally priced at 80 bucks. I wore it on the last day of training at Wascana Rehab Centre. It was perfect for that professional look and it kind of hides the not-so-flattering flabs. Of course, I had to suck it all in and stopped breathing to get a perfect photo. Hahahahaha!
I got a good deal on this Aldo sunnies too as it was only 5 CAD. Would you believe if I say this selfie can be hashtagged as #nofilter ? Come on. Give me some love!
You see? I don't buy expensive things. I am not that kind of person. I'm not high-maintenance and I like to claim that I keep it low-key. To be fashionable, you just have to be yourself and experiment on whatever's in your closet. Or maybe yah, you have to do a little shopping but you don't need to splurge. You have to accept the fact that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Speaking like a true-blue fashion blogger. I kid.
Indeed, it was a day of good finds and retail therapy. After all, we work hard for the money we spend. And now? I'm working on saving up. Yes! You heard it right. I am going to save up for bigger and better adventures.
For now, let's have a little chit chat. How do you de-stress? Does shopping help? Is retail therapy your kind of thing too? I'd love to hear and learn from you! Drop a comment, dearie!
Have you had that feeling when you wake up in the morning and you want to just buy the world! Oh my gosh! You have become so worldly, VitoriVita! I am kidding.
But there was that one day, where I woke up and I had that weird urge to shop. Maybe I was dreaming of Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Carven and Givenchy that whole night. The truth was, I lacked sleep. Unfortunately, I was from a night shift.
VROOM! The car purred to life as soon as I got in on Tin's car and we drove to shopping-phoria. I'm glad I found a friend in her. Our combination can be quite deadly though because we take pride in drooling at each other's purchases. Always stay away from these kind of friends or be with them and rob a bank in no time. Hahahahaha!
First stop? WINNERS! It was such a disappointment. There was nothing I totally like that I was willing to splurge on. But I did snap some gorgeous selfies at the dressing room. Shhhhh!
I was in the mood for shopping but I was not up for an unreasonable one. I only wanted to spend on stuff that I really really like. So we bought chocolates instead!
By the time we went out of Winners, I could say famished is an understatement. Because we were very hungry. Having no sense of direction anymore, we drove to Five Guys!
Five Guys Burger and Fries is a fast-food chain I've never heard of until my arrival in Regina. I even thought it was a casual dining kind of restaurant. I was very sad and hungry. As soon as I stepped in, I can smell cholesterol, sodium, and all things bad. There were even fries scattered on the floor considering that the place was not busy at that time - a Monday afternoon.
I ordered a regular cheeseburger and I couldn't be more excited to see what's the rave about the "fresh" ingredients they put in to make yummy burgers.
Deym! I was like, "Oh my gosh! This is sooooooo good!" No wonder why US President Barack Obama likes their burgers. Check out the video!
Suddenly, the scattered fries on the restaurant floor were forgivable and I was happy again. How the place looked like didn't even matter at all. All I saw were happy faces of customers as they take each bite of their juicy burgers. Yum!
And off we went to downtown Regina for some more shopping! We cared less if we'll ever find what we wanted because the burger-induced endorphins were enough to keep us happy for the next few more hours.

To be continued...
In a movie, I always look for substance and a whole lot of entertainment. Some people enjoy slapstick comedy. Unfortunately, I don't. Its not that I'm too high brow but yah I guess I'm too high brow. Hahahahaha! Of course you know I am kidding, right?
So we watched The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin and it was not worth the $10 I paid for the movie. Five percent of the movie was funny. Vice Ganda just got the right people to star in it and most were handsome guys with abs! How can I resist that. I watched the first one and I should have seen it coming that the sequel is going to be as bad.
Spare me the judgment because I watch Tagalog films even though most of it were made to disappoint. I do have my personal laugh trip faves like Here Comes The Bride, Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank, and Kimmy Dora 1 (The sequel tried so hard!)
Earlier that afternoon, I was actually wearing this.
Our only decent selfie at the movie house.
It was unanimous that we wanted to try Original Joe's after the movie. It was always jam-packed last summer. Sexy waitresses in black welcomed us and so we cringed and wanted just disappear or evaporate. You don't get motivated to eat if you're surrounded with sexy girls, right? You just want to starve yourself! Hahahahaha! But we decided to stay though because everyone was hungry.
I ordered Philly Cheese Steak with Poutine and Caesar Salad on the side. I cannot decipher how I was able to consume my plate. Then I started to plan my diet again and we all laughed! Hahahahaha!
Tin ordered Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla. It was too big she had to bring some home.
Original Joe's kept it real with their Fish and Chips! Just one fish and loads of chips. Hahahahaha!
Original Joe's Regina is located at 3806 Albert Street, Regina and you may reserve for your Valentine's Date on this number (306) 206-0400. For their menu list, CLICK HERE!
Bonus points go to OJ's for their fast and friendly service and that manager who dropped by to ask us how we were doing and if we were enjoying the food too. We all said, "We're all good!"
Have you tried Original Joe's anywhere in Canada? Tell me about it and drop a comment.
Life is short. Keep eating!
