The old watch I bought from Farmer's Market Mall in Cubao for 50 PHP which is like 1.5 CAD has been falling off from my wrist due to wear and tear. I am so proud that it has seen good Canadian days. So sad though that it has to go even though I had all the urges to keep wearing it. Look at the poor thing. So thin and rugged.
So after being so disappointed at Winners and pigging out at Five Guys (See previous post.) we decided that the best place in town for shopping is Cornwall Centre. Fact is there are not too many options here in Regina.
I went straight to Spareparts where I bought a Casio G-Shock watch in rose gold to attract attention. Hahahahaha! Not actually, but if you insist YES! Because everything in rose gold is worth all the bucks you worked hard for. This was for the low low price of 180 CAD.
But prior to buying the G-Shock watch at Spareparts. I was actually drooling over this Saskatchewan-made watch from Farmfresh. They call this the Merchant and it costs 300 CAD. I wanted it so much but I thought that I might not be able to wear it daily. My practical self was actually winning this time. Its too pretty to go near poops and bums. My nurse friends agree with me for sure.
I also got a nice printed dress shirt from RW&CO. for 20 CAD which was originally priced at 80 bucks. I wore it on the last day of training at Wascana Rehab Centre. It was perfect for that professional look and it kind of hides the not-so-flattering flabs. Of course, I had to suck it all in and stopped breathing to get a perfect photo. Hahahahaha!
I got a good deal on this Aldo sunnies too as it was only 5 CAD. Would you believe if I say this selfie can be hashtagged as #nofilter ? Come on. Give me some love!
You see? I don't buy expensive things. I am not that kind of person. I'm not high-maintenance and I like to claim that I keep it low-key. To be fashionable, you just have to be yourself and experiment on whatever's in your closet. Or maybe yah, you have to do a little shopping but you don't need to splurge. You have to accept the fact that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Speaking like a true-blue fashion blogger. I kid.
Indeed, it was a day of good finds and retail therapy. After all, we work hard for the money we spend. And now? I'm working on saving up. Yes! You heard it right. I am going to save up for bigger and better adventures.
For now, let's have a little chit chat. How do you de-stress? Does shopping help? Is retail therapy your kind of thing too? I'd love to hear and learn from you! Drop a comment, dearie!
